I have just started looking online for ideas, but figure people who may have been there might have better suggestions.  
 
We are heading to Minneapolis for the 4th of July and want to take in some fireworks. We have never been to any US festivities but have heard they do such a great job, especially on the 4th.  
 
Does anyone have great places to suggest to take in some 4th celebrations?

Were on the Mississippi River Banks not far from where they set the fireworks off. They were awesome!!! There are LOTS of places they will be going off tho and I'm sure anywhere you choose to watch will be great! Be sure to go early as it doesn't take long to fill up!

We stayed in a holiday inn a couple years ago in Minni, kinda near the ball stadium, when they learned we were Canadian they gave us the highest floor which would be facing two sets of fireworks - was perfect!!! Safe, didn't have to worry about where to park or stand or drive in dark and be amongst people that we were unsure if with little kids!  
Amazing amazing fireworks, like nothing I have seen or heard before - breathtaking!
