Ideas for traveling with children?

Does anyone have any ideas for keeping children busy in the car. We are travelling to Calgary (and back) for a wedding with 6 and 3 year old girls, and am looking for ideas to keep them entertained. Have thought of the basics, coloring books, dolls, movies, but am open to suggestions from those who have been there done that.
