How does the city think the "transcab" is going to save them money?

what a mess they sure didn't think it through .

I would agree with Rue on the transit bosses not thinking. I see it in their map quality, route layout, route timing: think that they actually did this to piss off their regular ridership.  
 
There was no need to re-route all their buses at once: not post the information on telebus or google maps appropriately. Especially given that there was no posting of the temporary re-routing due to construction.  
 
The list goes on. I am starting to think that transit did this on purpose: I can believe it. The whole thing puts the onus on driver's and passengers: frankly I want to move to Winnipeg now where they have better service.

they sure do not make it easy on a person .they need to take the buses & find out how great the routes are .

Its worked in other cities for routes that are not used often but still provides service.

I hope it is a work in progress project. The old signs are still up but covered with sacks.  
 
People, don''t hesitate to call, email, mail, etc. The city with all concerns on the new routes. We can post here all we want but a well written letter can open a lot of eyes.

I have emailed them 2 or 3 times for help no reply it's so confusing they can't figure the routes out .

if its not broke don't fix it I always found a lot of people on the bus why change a system that's working don't know how im going to get around this winter

I know what you mean I have a visual impairment & winter is the worst white with no contrast is terrible for me .

Served by route 16-which doesnt go to Downtown or anywhere except Shoppers mall- there is the biggest care home of Brandon. More than 250 residents, more than 100 of staff working at anytime, not all staff lives in the south end to use only no.16 to commute, not all care home elderly can use only no.16 for going to their appointments, not all visitors live in the 'only' areas of route no.16. The Kiwanis YMCA pool and accesss to the Keystone ground during festivals has the same route too. Why would they terminate easy access to such a busy place?

if those responsible for making the changes have ever taken a bus? During the planning of the route changes did any of the "higher ups" in the City's transit department try to get around the city on a bus? Have they ever waited in -30 with blowing snow and no shelter available? 18th S, at Kirkcaldy for example, makes me wonder.
