Brandon’s soon-to-be newest pizza outlet is now into the final stages of preparations as it works toward bringing its own take on one of the most locally popular food varieties to the city in the coming weeks.
Red Swan Pizza has been renovating commercial space in 18th Street’s Robinson Mall since eBrandon first reported this past summer of intentions for the rapidly expanding franchise to open a local location.
The takeout and delivery restaurant boasts a menu that includes 41 different types of pizza that range from the more traditional Pepperoni & Mushroom or Hawaiian to Tandoori Chicken or Paneer Tikka. Extras include items such as nachos, wings, dry ribs, chicken fingers, salads and bread, cheese, cinnamon or ranch sticks.
Pizza will be available in four crusts, including a standard and thin crust that are fresh and hand-tossed daily. Also available will be gluten free and cauliflower crust.
According to franchisee Meghan Patel, the local opening is currently expected to take place by early December should all go according to plan.
When open, in addition to ordering options through the franchise’s app, website and by phone plans also include availability through delivery service Skip the Dishes.
Red Swan Pizza will be located at Unit D - 1122 18th street. Initial plans are to employ a staff of four full-time and four part-time at minimum.
The franchise has three more Manitoba locations in the works including two in Winnipeg and one in Winkler. They will be joined by 16 open or planned Saskatchewan restaurants, 15 in Alberta, five in Ontario and one in British Columbia.
