In November it was learned that Fowler Automotive Group had reached an agreement to purchase Birchwood Nissan Brandon from Winnipeg-based Birchwood Automotive Group.
On Thursday Fowler officially assumed operations of what is Manitoba’s only Nissan dealership outside of Winnipeg, with temporary signage now on-site for what is now known as Fowler Nissan. More permanent signage is expected later in the month.
According to Rob Fowler of Fowler Automotive Group, visitors to the Nissan dealership can expect the same customer experience that led Fowler Hyundai to in October be named the #2 Hyundai dealership Canada-wide for customer satisfaction in sales and service. Nissan customers will now also benefit from being serviced by Fowler Autobody, located at the Hyundai dealership.
As part of the transition, in addition to offering positions to all Birchwood Nissan Brandon staff Fowler have added a handful of new local positions to the Nissan dealership. Included in that is the receiptionist position, which had previously been handled via calls routed out of city.
Birchwood had operated the dealership since 2016 and prior to that it had been operated by Brandon’s Ball family.
Like Fowler’s Hyundai dealership, Nissan will aim to maintain an inventory of approximately 150 new and used vehicles. The Nissan dealer’s new website is now live at https://www.fowlernissan.ca
