Growing local dental practice will have a new home in the fall

Posted by Adam in Local News, 1/21, 11:32 AM

A long-time local dental practice will soon re-locate from its current Downtown Brandon location to newly renovated location in Brandon's West End, it was learned today.

Princess Dental Centre announced this morning via an e-mail to customers and social media post that the practice will be moving in the fall to a 6500 square foot space at the WestVic Common property on Victoria Avenue West.

The clinic will maintain the same name, hours and phone number. In making the move, Princess will find itself better positioned to accommodate customers and staff with a larger space, state of the art equipment and a planned sedation suite according to a representative this morning. The current Princess Avenue location offers approximately 4000 square feet of space.

Princess Dental has been in its current location at 1202 Princess Avenue since 1989. The practice was purchased by Geoff and Adele McIntosh from long-time local dentist Dr. Guy Smith in 2013. Since that time it has seen a doubling of its number of dentists from two to four and an approximate doubling of staff.

It was learned in November that a tenant had signed on for the portion of space at the Southeast section of Westvic. A remainder of space previously occupied by department store Zellers was last said to be under renovation and is currently listed as for lease.
