A new perspective- A collection of August pics from over Brandon

Posted by Adam in Local News, 8/30/2020

The mainstream use of drone technology has opened up a whole new opportunity to see our little slice of Westman in new ways.

Whereas I’ve in the past dabbled in aerial photography from the passenger seat of an airplane, I’ve recently added a drone as a way to quickly, easily and safely take photos from the lower airspace below that used by planes to supplement topics of interest in the community. You may have already noticed a few pics being used in posts like this one, this one and this one

Below are a handful of the more fun shots I’ve been able to capture during August, taking caution to follow all rules in place for my class of drone to ensure that not only are the pics valuable but that they’re taken safely, responsibly and out of respect to folks’ privacy.

In a month filled with headline after headline surrounding the city’s outbreak with COVID-19 it’s served as a fun distraction and with a little lucky maybe a shot or two can do more of the same for you!
