Class 1 Driver / Equipment Operator
We are looking for a Class 1 Driver / Equipment Operator to join our team.
This position involves hauling, sorting, moving, loading, processing, and unloading scrap metal materials using a variety of trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. If you enjoy operating equipment, driving truck, and working outdoors, this could be a great fit.
What You?ll Be Doing
- Drive a variety of trailers including roll-off, Super-B, flat deck, end dump, and demo box trailers
- Load, unload, move, sort, and process scrap metal materials
- Operate excavators, loaders, material handlers, skid steers, and forklifts
- Follow safe loading, hauling, and disposal procedures both on-site and at remote locations
- Complete pre-trip inspections and daily equipment checks
- Perform minor maintenance on equipment and trailers
- Assist with general yard and labour duties as required, including shoveling, sweeping, lifting, and climbing
No two days are exactly the same. This role offers a mix of truck driving, equipment operation, and hands-on work.
What We?re Looking For
- Valid Class 1A Driver?s Licence
- Minimum 2 years of truck driving and heavy equipment operating experience
- Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs
- Strong work ethic and attention to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Mechanical aptitude is an asset
- Experience in the scrap metal or recycling industry is an asset

Working Conditions
- Primarily outdoor work throughout the year
- Work performed both on-site and at locations throughout Manitoba
