Where can I get a prepaid Crefit Card for online shopping?  
Can be a card that you can reload or a one time card.

Royal Bank. Any groceries store that carry gift cards. Shoppers Drug Mart .

Checked at the Royal Bank and they don’t do this anymore.  
Not sure why.

RBC doesn’t have a prepaid card but they have a visa debit that is hooked to your bank account. So you can put this card number in like a visa and it takes the money right out of your bank account. Way easier than a prepaid card!

You can find them in the gift card sections at most stores.  
 
Sobey’s, Shoppers Drug Mart, Wal-Mart, Safeway, even 7-11 sells them.  
 
Most of the brands are the Vanilla prepaid ones but I think MasterCard has a version of one too.  
 
If I remember correctly they come as $25, $50, $100, and possibly $200 amounts

Can you buy these prepaid visa or MasterCards for kids under 18? Wanted to buy a gift card but not sure if kids can use them by themselves?

They don’t come with a name on them so if all else fails, when my kids get gift cards I hold onto them until they want to spend them. This way they don’t get lost and I am with them at time of purchase so there are no issues.

More wondering about are minors, say a 16 year old, allowed to use the prepaid credit on their own? Without a parent or someone over 18. I want to buy family members some of these but they are 16 and 17. Since you can’t technically own your own credit card until your an adult, I wondered if a minor can use these on their own. You still have to sign the back of these.

Pretty sure it doesn’t matter as they are treated the same as a gift card.

Remember there is a $4 activation fee on top of them. I was going to buy 4 of them for gifts but the kind cashier at co op informed me there would be an extra $16 added and asked if I wanted to buy specific gift cards instead, which I did end up doing.  
 
Oh but you need it for an online purchase right? I guess it doesn’t matter for that! But keep in mind if you’re buying for other reasons

Canada Post offers Pre-Paid credit cards. Reloadable. Got one a few years ago at the postal outlet at Shopper's Drug Mart on Victoria.

Am aware of the Visa Debit cards but I want to avoid  
auto ship . So if so get a low gift card I will only lose a small amount if they won’t cancel.

I've used them before, but only for sketchy sites and modest amounts of money. There is a cost associated with disposable cards.  
 
However, you will not receive any of the consumer benefits of a regular card - like warranty extension, etc..or even points/rewards  
 
Look into getting a second card with a lower limit strictly for online banking.  
 
Thefraud detection is pretty good, and you're not responsible for unauthorized charges, as long as you used the card responsibly.
