How far in the hole are you because of the holidays?

Every year we promise ourselves to stay out of debt when Christmas comes. Does it happen? Usually not.
A new poll on theFrisky.com says the majority of people managed to do pretty well this holiday season.
Out of 2531 votes, here’s how it broke down:
8 % spent over $1,000 (202 votes)
3% spent $700-$950 (84 votes)
5% spent $500-$700 (131 votes)
8% spent $300-$500 (196 votes)
8% spent $150-$300 (193 votes)
5% spent $50-$150 (127 votes)
62% said they’re “All paid off and/or I didn't use credit.” (1564 votes)
1% said “Other” (34 votes)
Somehow I doubt the number of people who didn’t go into debt is so big… Do you believe the results or are these folks in denial??? How much damage did YOU do?
