Debt. What's you're take on it?

Just curious...what's your take on going into debt?
Personally I think the only time you should go into debt is for a house or a car. That's it! I've been asked why I'm so picky on going into debt by family member....and its simply. Why go into debt when there is no need.
(Note I know people that have gone into debt for stupid reasons....and I laugh at them because I'm not like that. And I'm proud of myself because I'm not like them)
And only debt I'm in is my car loan...should be paid off Dec 2012...but might be sooner! :D
So what's your take on it? Pros? Cons?
