Has anybody here lived in Brampton, Ontario? If so, what is your experience? Is it a suggested place to move or not? Surrounding areas also apply.

I have not, but I lived in Mississauga, south of Brampton. People nicknamed Brampton: Bramladesh because it's largely populated by the East Indian community. I ever really heard anything negative outside of opinion, although if I had a choice, I'd live in Mississauga. I lived near Lakeshore and loved it. I did spend some time with a friend who lived near the border of the 2 cities and it was decent. I think what it comes down to is: how far away is your work? How long of a commute do you want? What school do you want your kids in?

That's the thing I've been offered a job there and I still don't make my mind if take it or not, would it be better than Brandon or not... Thanks for your reply.

I think if you are ready for a chance of pace then go for it.  
 
i lived in a city about an hour away from there and is similar in size and people, lifestyle. You have plenty of options around you like visiting toronto, the lake, missisauga is great for shopping, niagara falls etc.  
 
If you enjoy the quietness of Brandon and small town living then maybe this isn't for you, but if not then this will give you plenty of opportunity to explore ontario.

It was much smaller in the 90s and population has grown substantially. It is an alright place, close to the big city, fairly clean. Heart Lake is a nice area there, Bramalea not so much. Again, I was born, raised and moved back there within a couple of years, lots of jobs, transit is large and shopping is sweet with lots of high end stores!

It is definitely better than here! Take the chance and run!

Definitely better than Brandon. But housing and taxes are expensive. So if you house hunting it can take a while because there are usually multiple bidders on the house.  
 
I find food to be way cheaper. You can get all sorts of fresh meat. Most big grocery stores have butcher's in them. You can find a lot of different fresh fish markets.
