Field Operations Technician (Term)

What you'll do:
- Work with our Construction and Fibre Teams to complete tasks and provide a superior customer experience.
- Perform pre-construction tasks, such as installing cables/pipes/clamshells internally and externally on residential and commercial premises, etc.
- Perform post and upgrade tasks, such as activation of repaired or replaced coaxial & fibre cables, splicing fibre cables, etc.
- Document tickets and trouble calls accurately, ensuring WCG's database is updated daily to reflect work completed.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality control guidelines and company policies and procedures.
- Manage all interactions with residential and commercial customers with respect and value.
What you'll bring to the team:
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
- Certification in Basic First Aid and CPR C is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of/or experience in wiring and/or construction experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of/or experience with fibre optic and broadband plant maps is considered an asset.
- Must be comfortable with heights (ladder work) and confined spaces.
- Must be able to carry up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able and willing to travel to remote communities with the potential of extended stays away from home.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
