THE OPPORTUNITY:
Tundra is excited to announce an opportunity for a Mechanical Technician, based out of the Waskada, MB office.
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in maintaining the heartbeat of Tundra's operations? In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for keeping our CMMS (AZZIER) program up to date, ensuring all documentation is meticulously entered. You'll handle everything from work requests for faulty equipment to completion remarks for finished work orders, and you'll keep our equipment specifications current. Your keen eye for detail and proactive approach will be essential in maintaining our high standards.
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Coordinator
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Keeping maintenance logs up to date in the CMMS Program (AZZIER)
- Providing a daily schedule to the Maintenance Coordinator and taking directions from the Coordinator and Operations
- Performing troubleshooting, repairs, and general maintenance on Tundra's field equipment
- Aiding in maintaining the preventative maintenance program, including documentation, schedules, and follow-up work orders
- Responding promptly to equipment failures
- Maintaining an inventory of maintenance parts
- Completing lease inspections and performing pumpjack inspections
- Assisting operations staff with training
- Following and enforcing Safe Work Procedures
- Following and enforcing all safety and security procedures, including responding to emergency situations
WHAT YOU NEED:
- High School Diploma or equivalent or a combination of education and experience
- 5 years of general oilfield maintenance experience
- Valid driver's license
- Reside within 45 minutes of the assigned field
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to work overtime for callouts, including emergency situations

- Must possess mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge
- Proficient in general computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision, as well as effectively as part of a diverse team
- Strong problem-solving abilities to overcome obstacles and achieve both long-term and day-to-day goals and tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
